Thank Gaming It’s Friday!
With my 360 still out for repairs, it looks as if I’ll be sticking with PS3 games. I will put in some time with Assassin’s Creed, but the majority of my weekend will be consumed by the joy that is LEGO BATMAN! And yes.. I know it’s a game for kids. Don’t judge me!
As for tehflakes, I have it on good authority that he will be spending nearly the entire weekend grinding through Too Human.

Victory today for gamers everywhere as Florida blowhard lawyer Jack Thompson now faces disbarment for his reckless pursual of warrantless claims. For those who don’t know, JT is an enemy of video games everywhere. He regularly blames society’s problems on the Rockstar series Grand Theft Auto, amongst other violent video games.
The court order for disbarment takes effect in 30 days. There is a chance for appeal, but only if sponsored by another Florida lawyer, which is unlikely to happen. Rejoice my gaming brothers and sisters… rejoice.

That sound? That sound you hear right now? That is the Halo fanboy army rising all at once and screaming for more. After a short 12-hour countdown timer ran out on Bungie’s website, the above trailer was released. Released like a drop of blood in shark infested waters.
The vid only came out about an hour ago and already people are dubbing this unknown game Halo 3.5. My guess? Squad based FPS fighting off the Flood before the arrival of Master Chief. Any thoughts? You know the deal… hit Teh Forums!
EDIT: Just noticed the “Get Ready to Drop” part of the trailer. Could you be playing as the Flood this time?

Insomniac has made some pretty bold claims with Resistance 2, not the least of which is eight player co-op and 60 player online multiplayer. Well, if this video is any indication, the co-op is coming along swimingly. It looks smooth and fast and.. delicious really. Who knows how this will hold up in the real world, but I’m cautiously optimistic for now.

According to Rogers Video (via The Canadian Press), the most popular game rental for the week ending Sept. 21 is Star Wars: Force Unleashed. SW:FU grabbed the 1st (Xbox 360), 2nd (PS3), 4th (Wii) and 5th (PS2) slots. I knew this game was popular, but I haven’t seen such a clean sweep in awhile. Are you playing it? Do you love it? UPDATE: Apparently the game is breaking sales records too. 1.5 million units were sold in the first 5 days, making this both the fastest selling Star Wars and Lucas Arts game ever.
