Where The Hell Have I Been?
Where the hell has flakes been?
Well it’s been over a very long time since my lastblog post, today’s entry won’t entirely be focused on video gaming since a lot has happen since May. At approximately 9:30 am on May 12th 2009 I was called into an office and was laid off. Almost 4 years at the Hudson’s Bay Company, I was escorted off the property and given a cab ride home. My initial thoughts were I was terrified and scared because we are in a recession and the economy completely sucks. I didn’t take any time off, I was on the job hunt determined to get re-employed as quickly as possible. I had several interviews scheduled in the following weeks and was offered a job with Company A. During the negotiations, company B came into the picture and expressed interest in me joining their team. I had to yes, it was a great opportunity for myself and for my career. Most importantly it was a better for Natalie, Mocha and I. With this new job, we decided to re-locate to the downtown area. We settled on Yonge and Eglinton, a beautiful large 1 bedroom apartment. We’ve been here for 2 weeks and were settled in. I love the area; there is a close park down the street which is great for mocha. Speaking of which, maybe time to get a second dog?. Maybe not, maybe time to read more and write more.
And now back to gaming
First of I bought a Nintendo DSi in the black matte finish. I picked this up in a bundle offer with Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars. My thoughts on the new hardware upgrade are I love the matte finish, screens are brighter and seem to be better quality, comes with 2 cameras and the most important thing for me is the new location of the power and sound buttons.
I also bought several games for my new system however I haven’t had the time to play!
