Victory today for gamers everywhere as Florida blowhard lawyer Jack Thompson now faces disbarment for his reckless pursual of warrantless claims. For those who don’t know, JT is an enemy of video games everywhere. He regularly blames society’s problems on the Rockstar series Grand Theft Auto, amongst other violent video games.
The court order for disbarment takes effect in 30 days. There is a chance for appeal, but only if sponsored by another Florida lawyer, which is unlikely to happen. Rejoice my gaming brothers and sisters… rejoice.

Ahh justice is served. Thompson had a clear agenda and he was blatantly using the judicial system to spread his conservative beliefs.

True. That being said, I doubt we’ve seen the last of him. Just because he’s no longer a lawyer doesn’t mean he’s given up “the fight”.
